Welcome to the Town of Bell!
We are pleased to welcome you to the Town of Bell’s official website. Our goal is to provide our citizens with the best services and information available. The Town of Bell is home to Bell High School, one of the best Middle/High schools in the state with approximately 750 students.
The population of the Town of Bell is 537 as of 2016. Bell was incorporated in 1903 and the name was selected by means of a beauty contest in which the winner's name was to be given to the new station and post office. The one who received the most votes for Queen was Bell Fletcher,
the daughter of Daniel E. Fletcher, a native of Florida and a successful farmer from Alachua County. Bell Fletcher later married G.W. Everett and lived in the community until her death in 1919.
